Is a Southwest Museum Forum a GOOD Idea?

Voting on GOOD Los Angeles' "GOOD Maker" Project closes Thursday, Sept. 8 at noon.

Los Angeles resident Jessica Hough hopes she has a $2,500 idea that can help save the .

Hough has submitted her proposal to hold a town hall discussion dedicated to finding a "happy future" for the Southwest Museum to the "GOOD Maker" project, in hopes of winning $2,500 to fund the forum.

"The people of LA should have an opportunity to know and understand the current state of their museum, and a chance to contribute to a discussion of its future," Hough wrote in the project proposal. "We must do this is now, before an irreversible decision is made without community input."

The GOOD Maker project is a collaborative effort between Emerging Practitioners in Philantrophy (EPIP) and GOOD Los Angeles to single out a project dedicated to "moving Los Angeles forward," and providing $2,500 to make it happen.

The proposals are presented for perusal here. The project to receive the most votes from the public will win the $2,500.
