Franklin Boys Soccer Earns 15-seed
Boys and girls basketball squads also make CIF-Los Angeles City Section playoffs
The CIF-Los Angeles City Section announced its playoff brackets for boys and girls basketball and soccer on Saturday, and Franklin earned spots in the boys and girls basketball and boys soccer tournaments.
The Panthers boys soccer team leads the way, drawing a No. 15 seed in the City Large School Playoffs. Franklin hosts 18th-seeded Fremont on Wednesday.
The Franklin boys basketball team faces No. 6 seed Banning in the first round of the Division III playoffs on Thursday at 7 p.m. The Panthers are seeded 11th.

The Franklin girls basketball team also begins the playoffs on the road, traveling to seventh-seeded Poly on Friday at 7 p.m. The Panthers are a No. 10 seed.
