Explore culture and art in Highland Park, led by cultural planner and NELA resident Maryam Hosseinzadeh. The tour begins at the Highland Park stop along the Metro Gold Line, and includes a visit to our Folk Art Everywhere partner, Figueroa Produce. We’ll learn about hidden gems from historic signage and architecture, to unique public spaces and independent businesses, and conclude with a picnic at La Tierra de la Culebra Park. The tour will loosely follow the historic Route 66 and the Arroyo, and there will be multiple opportunities for food and drink along the way.
