'Aldama Day' Returns to My Taco

20-percent of the restaurants sales will go toward Aldama's Playworks program.

Aldama Day will return to My Taco on Thursday, August 2. 

From 8 a.m. until 10 p.m., will donate 20-percent of every purchase made to , which is attempting to raise funds to support the schools' budding Playworks program.

Customers will need to inform their cashier that they are supporting Aldama for the school to get credit for the transaction.

Monica Alcaraz, of the Aldama PTA, explains that it costs about $25,000 every year to support the program, which seeks to foster students' physical and emotional development.

"Playworks provides an unparalleled opportunity to foster the physical, social and emotional development of our children," Alcaraz said. "Exclusively working on-site with low-income schools such as Aldama Elementary, engineering a powerful system of play that is making a daily difference is our children's lives."

This is the second fundraiser that the Aldama has organized for Playworks at My Taco. Another Playworks fundraiser was also run through .

My Taco's menu is extensive, offering everything from enchiladas to tortas, sopes to tacos, and agua frescas to flan.
