Huizar To Talk City Budget in Eagle Rock Tonight

Northeast Los Angeles residents are invited to discuss the 2012/13 city budget will local councilman Jose Huizar and budget committee chairman Paul Krekorian on Tuesday evening.

The 2012/13 regional budget hearing--to be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Women's 20th Century Club on 5105 Hermosa Ave. in Eagle Rock--will provide constituents a breakdown of the city's budget plan, and a chance to pose question to the councilmen responsible for passing it.

"Especially in this challenging time in which we are faced with very difficult choices about what we can and cannot afford to fund given our severe budget deficit, it is especially important that city residents participate and help our leaders make the best choices," said Council District 14 field deputy Kai Newkirk. "We urge you to take advantage of this opportunity and ensure that your voice is heard as the City budget is shaped"
