A unknown vandal destroyed an awning and tagged windows with whiteout at on Thursday evening, according to Principal Elizabeth Valentino.
Valentino said that the vandal did not make it inside the school, but was able to hop a fence to get onto the school's grounds.
"Whoever did it broke into a supply cabinet and took some hammers and saws and sawed the awning above an outdoor patio in half," Valentino said. "Then they climbed some stairs and wrote with whiteout on the elevator windows."
The vandal wrote random letters and numbers with whiteout, along with the word "honey," Valentino said.
The school was attended by janitors until 11:30 p.m. on Thursday, Valentino said, who were cleaning up after a Town Hall meeting held by Councilmember Ed Reyes.
Valentino said school police also believe the vandal was intoxicated, because a nearly empty bottle of wine was found on the schools ground.
Police officials are still investigating the incident.
