LAFD Extinguishes Small Backyard Fire in Garvanza

The blaze was knocked down in about 20 minutes.

Crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department made quick work of a small backyard fire in Garvanza on Saturday morning.

Sirens blared through Highland Park at 10:30 a.m. as crews made their way to a home at the 800 block of N. Ave. 67 to extinguish a fire burning in a the backyard.

According to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey, the blaze was extinguished by 10:50 a.m.

Humphrey said it's been a busy morning for LAFD Crews.

"It was our 471st call since midnight," Humphrey said.
