LAFD Extinguishes Monterey Hills Brush Fire

The fire burned through four acres of land near Debs Park.

Crews from the Los Angeles Fire Department extinguished a brush fire that burned though approximately 4-acres of land near the Monterey Road entrance to Debs Park on Tuesday evening.

According to LAFD spokesman Erik Scott, fire crews arrived at the scene of the fire at 11:50 p.m. on Tuesday evening. The blaze was knocked down by 12:46 a.m. on Wednesday.

No injuries or property damage were caused by the fire, according to LAFD spokesman Brian Humphrey.

The cause of the fire is still under active investigation, Scott said.
