Crime Blotter: Dec. 26

LAPD followed up on reported assaults, vehicle thefts and burglaries in the area.

LAPD officers were dispatched to 25 incidents in Highland Park and Mount Washington between Tuesday, Dec. 20 and Monday, Dec. 26, according to data provided by CrimeMapping.com.

ASSAULT

Officers responded to six assaults with deadly weapon occurrences within the last week. The first was reported on Wednesday, Dec.21 at 3:30 p.m. near the 4700 block of York Blvd. Five of the six assaults took place on Saturday, Dec. 24, including the . A second incident was reported near Burwood Ave. and Great Oak Circle at 12:35 p.m., while another occurrence near the 3900 block of Guardia Ave. took place at 7:35 p.m.

VEHICLE THEFTS

LAPD was called out to look into five reported vehicle thefts. Two vehicles were reported stolen on Tuesday, Dec. 20, the first was reported shortly after midnight on the 4900 block of Navarro St., while the second vehicle was stolen at 10:30 p.m. on Glenalbyn Dr. in Mt. Washington.  At 9 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, a vehicle was stolen from the 6200 block of York Blvd., and on Friday, Dec. 23 at 12:30 p.m. a vehicle was stolen near Ave. 57 and Monte Vista St. An additional vehicle theft took place on Saturday, Dec. 24 at 6 p.m. on the 5800 block of Marmion Way.

BURGLARY/THEFTS

On Tuesday, Dec.20, officers were dispatched to a petty theft (cash and valuables are $950 or less) at 500 Dove Drive. A burglary from a vehicle was reported at 11 p.m. the same day near 6400 Roble Ave. LAPD responded to a burglary (entering any structure or vessel with the intent to commit a theft or a felony) at 4900 Cleveland Ave. on Wednesday, Dec. 21 at 5:30 p.m. an additional burglary was reported on the 1700 block of N. Ave 51 at 10:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22.
