CHP Still Investigation 110 Motorcycle Crash

CHP Officer K. Poulin said it has yet to be determined that a commercial vehicle driving on the 110 at the time of the accident was at fault for the crash.

No arrests have been made in last week's accident on the 110 Freeway that led to the death of a motorcyclist, and California Highway Patrol Officer K. Poulin said it was premature to say a commercial vehicle illegally driving on the road at the time was at fault for the crash.

"Everything is still pending at this time and I have multiple witnesses to speak with," Poulin said on Tuesday afternoon. "No arrest has been made."

According to Poulin, the driver of the commercial vehicle was in violation of the law by exceeding the road's 6,000 pound weight limit, but it had to be determined if the driver's actions had anything to do with the crash.

The California Highway Patrol reported that that incident happened at 8:10 a.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 23 in the northbound lane of the parkway near the Avenue 43 exit. The victim, a 59-year-old male, was traveling in the number three lane on a Harley Davidson at an undetermined speed at the time of accident.

"He was cut off by the 18-wheeler and crashed into the off-ramp," LAFD Station Captain Steve Navarro told Patch last week.

"The travel lanes on the parkway are barely big enough for cars, let alone a big rig," Navarro said. "It's an important reminder for the community; if you see an 18-wheeler getting on the 110, make sure to call 911 right away."

@nonise: Girl, perhaps you should see a doctor. Bells are not your problem. You may have a mentalRead More issue that could be eased with therapy. Cedillo must want to run screaming when you approach him, as did Jesse Rosas, your first crush for councilman. Remember when you threw Cedillo under the bus, for Jesse? You even attacked Cedillo for having tattooed eyeliner. How base. How is Jesse, by the way? Haven't seen him.

Did "no way, Jose" write the letter of support to Divine Saviour Catholic ChurchRead More "encouraging" them to take me to court? (they lost, I won). It was written on city letterhead, clearly a violation of separation of church and state where the city had to business in a public dispute. And, clearly an abuse of power. Come on, Jose, did you write the letter?
