WHATS IN A NAME you say????
Yes, it is correct that the place the meeting was held is called the Mt Washington Elementary School Multipurpose room but it was also held at Mt Washington's Community Center and I for one would appreciate it being referred to as the Jack and Denny Smith Library and Community Center at Mt Washington School because that is it's official name given by LAUSD.  This is why Jack Smith, a celebrated journalist who lived on this mountain for 40 years,  lent his name to the funding and construction of our community center spearheaded by our community.  We all  refer to the Carlin G Smith Center by its name to dignify and honor the person it is named for.  Let us try to do the same for Jack and his wife Denny who believed enought in the importance of this MPR building being built to make the Mt Washingon School and our Community whole with a place for students to eat indoors and a place for the community of Mt Washington to hold Town Hall meetings and present Arts and Culture.
