Patch Blog: Café Fuego Will Bring Flamenco Fusion to Lummis Day
More previews of next Sunday's Lummis Day music, dance and art.
Roger Espinoza’s Café Fuego will bring “flamenco-fusion music” to the Lummis Day stage for the first time next Sunday, June 3 at Heritage Square at 3800 Homer St.
It’s crowd-pleasing music reminiscent of the Gypsy Kings, very danceable and melodic.
Espinoza--who studied at the Berklee School of Music and with guitarist Jorge Strunz of Strunz & Farah--tailors his sound to reflect L.A.’s urban/global mix. Plus, he’ll bring his flamenco-rumba dance group, the Café Fuego Dancers for a dance accompaniment on the adjoining stage.
