Good Samaritan Looking For Owner of Lost Dog Hit by Car

Leslie says she's already spent $1,300 in vet's bills.

A dog with no collar, tags or microchip was hit by a car in Highland Park a little more than two weeks ago—and a Good Samaritan who has already spent $1,300 on his treatment would like his owner to reclaim the pooch.

The dog is a small, honey-colored, un-neutered mixed breed of good temperament, according to Leslie, whose son Keenan found him on May 23 on Piedmont Avenue, near the Highland Park Recreation Center and the library.

The dog has short hair and a white, diamond-shaped pattern on his chest. (See photo.)

“Please call us—we are taking care of your dog and hope that you find him,” says Leslie, referring to signs she has posted about the lost pet (see attached flyer). “I’m sure somebody misses him.”

Keenan (or Leslie) can be reached at (323) 929-3103.
