Second NELAart Short Film Night Set for Dec. 6

Highland Park film lovers will be treated to five new short films.

The second NELAart Short Film Festival will be held on Thursday, Dec. 6, with five new shorts screening for local cinefiles at 7 p.m. at the Highland Theatre.

Submissions of all genres were accepted for NELA's second film night, according to film series director Alessandro Gentile.

  • The Burying Beetle, directed by Dave Rock; starring John Michael Higgins & Freddy Rodriguez

  • Tumbleweed!, directed by Jared Varava; starring Peter Carlson

  • Threnody,  directed by Tyrrell Shaffner; starring Aaron Kyle & Amy Cale Peterson

  • Guitar Face, directed by Chris Hanada & Tanner Kling; starring Drew Powell & Cassidy Freeman

  • Career Day, directed by Ivette Garcia Davila; starring Alex Barreto & Angel Jimenez

Tickets for the will be available at the door for $10, and can be purchased at The Glass Studio on 5052 York Blvd. during Second Saturday Gallery Night on Saturday, Nov. 10.
