Matters of Space is pleased to present the printmaking of Dana McClure & the light sculpture of Jane Parrott

Please join us this Saturday, November 12th at Matters of Space store for the opening night of two new art shows. As part of NELA's monthly art walk we will be showcasing Dana McClure gorgeous prints. Dana McClure lives and works between Brooklyn and upstate NY. She received her BFA from the School of Visual and Performing Arts at Syracuse University in 2001 and her MFA in Design & Technology from Parsons the New School for Design in 2004. Dana began her career as a graphic designer and has worked for both large NYC firms and her own co-founded studio art directing print, motion, and interactive projects for business, nonprofit, cultural and culinary clients. Since 2003, Dana has taught undergraduate classes in design and time-based media at New York University and Parsons The New School for Design. We are also pleased to have in our space Waves of White, a light sculpture by Jane Parrott, which will be a more permanent installation with opening night this coming Saturday as well. Waves of White is a lighting design atelier started by Jane Parrott, where each piece is handmade and designed to create an agreeable atmosphere for its function.  Her main objective is to create 'Light for sentient beings'.
