Town Hall on Education: October 15th at Eagle Rock High

The Eagle Rock Neighborhood Council, in conjunction with the Historic Highland Park Neighborhood Council, will sponsor a Town Hall on Education next Tuesday evening at Eagle Rock High School Auditorium from 7 to 8:30 p.m.  Focus of the meeting will be on Common Core Standards and the Local Control Funding Formula.  Five distinguished panelists will participate:  Bennett Kayser, LAUSD board member; Della Larimore, L.A. County Office of Education; Warren Fletcher, President of UTLA; Edgar Azaueta, LAUSD funding expert; and Lydia Gutierrez, teacher and State Superintendant candidate.  To pre-submit questions to the panel, please e-mail them to education@eaglerockcouncil.org.  Please note that translation will be provided.
