2. Friends of Mount Washington Elementary School Casino Night

The Friends of Mount Washington School is organizing its first-ever fundraising casino night today, Friday, Jan. 24, at the historic Alamo Building, located on 6401 Ruby St. The event starts at 6 p.m. and ends at 10 a.m. Tickets are $35 per person or $60 a couple. In addition to blackjack, roulette, craps and other games, the casino night includes two VIP poker tournaments limited to only 20 players. For details, call (626) 660-6930 or e-mail Rick Herran at casinonightchair@fomws.org. Childcare will be provided at the Carlin G. Recreation Center fro 5 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. on casino night.
