Food For the Needy, Southwest Museum Tour, Hermon Clean-Up

1. Free food for the needy

Hermon Church will give out free food to all who stop and are in need today, Friday, Nov. 1, from from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in front of the church, located at 5718 Monterey Rd.

Mark your calendars: The El Plan Del Southwest Museum Task Force, a local voluntary organization dedicated to connecting individuals in an effort to find ways for the long-term sustainability of the Southwest Museum, is organizing two tours of the museum on Saturday, Nov. 2. The first tour, at 1 p.m., will be bilingual and is limited to 50 people. The second tour, at 2 p.m., will be in English and is also limited to 50 people. Click here to visit the task force’s website and view details on how to register.

3. Monthly clean-up in Hermon

On Saturday, Nov. 2, the Hermon Clean Team will begin its 11th year of monthly clean-ups from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. Rendezvous outside Monterey Donuts, 5930 Monterey Rd., around the tailgate of a light brown truck. Four of the team's regular members will be out of town this weekend, so volunteers to take their place are very welcome.
