Homeless Man Stabbed to Death in Highland Park

The victim, whose identity is being withheld, was pronounced dead on the scene at approximately 1 a.m. Thursday.

Homicide detectives in the Northeast division are investigating the stabbing death of a homeless man discovered early Thursday in Highland Park, according to a press release from the Los Angeles Police Department.

Officers responded to the 5800 block of N. Figueroa Avenue around 1 a.m. after a security guard on patrol in the area discovered the victim and contacted emergency officials.

Paramedics from Los Angeles Fire Department pronounced the man dead on the scene. The victim’s name is being withheld until detectives notify his family members.
