Figueroa Produce Food Truck Feast in Flux

The previous organizer of the Highland Park Dinner on the Go event has stepped down.

's weekly food truck feast is currently without an organizer, according to store co-owner Anthony Bermudez.

Bermudez explained that 's Chef Debbie Lee, who was responsible for coordinating the Highland Park Dinner on the Go event, had recently stepped down.

Lee, who last week opened a brick and mortar Ahn Joo location in Glendale, confirmed that she had stepped down from organizing the event, but could not comment further as she was in the middle of lunch service at her new restaurant.

As of Tuesday afternoon, Bermudez said Figueroa Produce was still attemping to recruit some trucks for the evening's event.

"We won't know who is going to be showing up until around 5 p.m.," Bermudez said.

One confirmed participant in tonight's feast are , who have made a name for themselves in Northeast L.A. for their vegan tacos and tamales.

As for the future of the food truck feast, Bermudez said the owners of Figueroa Produce would try to organize an ongoing event outside of the Highland Park Dinner on the Go banner.
