Having survived an astounding five close-to-death experiences in his lifetime, learning how to walk (again), and healing himself from a number of medical conditions over the years (fibromyaliga, chronic pain, arthritis, adult asthma, allergies, etc.), Peter has now turned his attentions to his personal passion for alternative health and healing. Peter has been a hypnotherapist in private practice since 2004 and is a graduate of the Hypnosis Motivation Institute. He is a graduate with Honors from San Jose State University and he has a MA in Consciousness Studies from the University of Philosophical Research. Somewhere at the crossroad of Dr. Andrew Weil and the daredevils from Jackass lies Peter’s new project, www.CreateYourHealth.com, where he explores alternative, traditional (indigenous), and cutting edge health practices and treatments. Whether they are off the shelf or off the wall – acupuncture, sound therapy, shamanism, witch doctors, stone throwers, scientists – Peter welcomes the opportunity to be a human guinea pig! As a community activist, Peter is responsible for founding the Manzanita Street Community Garden, and creating the Myra Avenue Mural Project (MAMP). Sponsored by the Greater Griffith Park Neighborhood Council and the Franklin Hills Residents’ Association, MAMP has so far created three murals, two with the students from the Thomas Starr King Middle School, with a goal of creating a minimum of six murals within the Myra Avenue underpass and beyond.
