The sixth annual Lummis Day celebration will take place this Sunday, June 5.
Northeast Los Angeles residents and neighbors on Sunday have the opportunity to enjoy a festival as diverse as the population and culture of their neighborhoods. Here's five great ways to say goodbye to 2010 in Highland Park.
While most people flock to the glitz and glamour of Hollywood and other surrounding neighborhoods to ring in the New Year, that doesn't mean there isn't anything going in Highland Park's backyard. 1. The Little Cave, which is located at 5922 North Figueroa Avenue and is arguably one of Highland Park's most popular bars, will be having a New Year's Eve bash with no cover charge. DJ Sweet Caroline will be on the ones and twos and will be accompanied by yet to be announced special guests. Doors open at 5 PM and the celebrating will continue until the doors close at 2am. A tagline on promo material for the NYE shindig reads, "Never Mind This Year's Bullocks, Here's To A Great New Year." 2. Highland Park's trendy gastro pub, The York, will …
