Farmers' Market, Food Trucks, Montecito Heights Issues
Your guide to what's going on in the neighborhood.
Highland Park's weekly Farmers' Market is scheduled on Tuesday, Oct. 15, from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., at Avenue 57 and Marmion Way, adjacent to the Metro Gold Line. This is a special kind of market: Proceeds go to the North Figueroa Association, a nonprofit group that will use the money for the security, cleanliness and improvement of the North Fig corridor and community. And this month, for the whole of October, Mardy's Munchies, the Montecito Heights bakery, will be donating 10 percent of all its proceeds from sales at the farmers' market to Aldama Elementary School.
