After a successful summer outing, the Urban Rancho will "go homesteading" on Saturday, Jan. 21 from noon until 4 p.m. at the Lummis Home in Montecito Heights.
This year's workshops include food crafting with master preservers, home remedies and botanicals, greywater systems, home brewing, urban livestock keeping, square foot gardening, fruit tree care and pruning, rainwater harvesting, small plant propogation and botany 101 for kids.
There will also be arts and crafts tables and more than 30 informatonal booths.

Guests are welcomed to make a $10 donation, with the funds going toward the preservation of the Lummis Home and Gardens.
