York Boulevard Planning Continues Thursday Night

Thursday evenings planning workshop will focus on short-term projects, like pocket plazas and antique lights

Months after choosing antique lights and "pocket plazas" as their preferred street-side improvements for York Boulevard, Highland Park residents on Thursday evening are invited to start discussing the nitty-gritty details of those projects.

"A York Boulevard Vision Plan and Immediate Projects Workshop," is scheduled for Thursday, August 11 from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. at 5010 York Boulevard.

The planning workshops, which are sponsored by Councilman José Huizar's office and have been facilitated by Living Streets Los Angeles, have been held on a nearly monthly basis since December of 2010, and have focused on both short term and long term projects for York Boulevard.
