Polling places across the country will open Today (Tuesday, June 5), with voters exercising their right to participate in the Democratic process.
For residents of 51st Assembly District--which includes Highland Park, Mount Washington, Eagle Rock and Echo Park--that means choosing a new candidate to represent the Democratic party in the race for the newly created district.
Voters across California will also vote on Propositions 28 and 29, which seek to and , respectively.
