The Department of Neighborhood Empowerment and the Independent Election Administrator are hosting this candidate information session featuring the Board of Neighborhood Commissioners’ Paul Park. This is a very special opportunity to hear from one of the top policy makers about the future of Neighborhood Councils--and your part in them. Don’t miss it! Deadline for Candidate Filing is September 13, 2012.

Neighborhood Councils were formed to “promote more citizen participation in government and make government more responsive to local needs.” You CAN make a difference.

If you live, work, own property, participate in an organization, or declare a stake in the neighborhood and affirm the factual basis for it and you’re over 18 years old, you can run for a position on your Neighborhood Council! The election will be held on October 13, 2012.

This is your chance to make a difference (818) 293-VOTE
