II. Stakeholder comments on non-agenda items within the scope of committee’s mandate

III. Old Business         

  1. Discussion on exactly what is needed for the ASNC CERT medical kit replacement supplies (expired shelf-life), and where to purchase an ASNC CERT ez-up canopy using $500 in funds approved at the Oct 2010 board meeting.

IV. New Business       

    • New Community Project Funding Request – Discussion of the following motion:  $2500, ASNC Emergency Supplies Storage Bin – Motion to allocate up to $2500 in community project funds (Category:  Public Safety) to purchase a 10'x10' emergency supply storage bin (http://www.container.com/containers.html) similar to that owned by the Silver Lake and Lake Balboa Neighborhood Councils.  Bin would be stored outside behind Hermon Community Church.  ASNC's current emergency supplies, which are stored on the 2nd floor of the church and the high school, will be transferred into the bin for easier accessibility after a disaster.  [Request Originator: Mark Legassie, Public Safety Cmte Chair]
       
    • New CERT Level 1 certification program being offered on Tuesday evenings at 7:00pm, starting March 15  (Hermon Community Church Fellowship Center, 5800 Monterey Rd, LA 90042)
    • Northeast LA CERT drill scheduled for March 2011.
    • Next Public Safety Meeting (TBD).
