Video: LAFD Quickly Extinguishes Apartment Fire on East Mesa St.

Crews said the cause of the apartment fire is still under investigation.

Los Angeles Fire Department crews at about 8 p.m. on Friday night extinguished a small fire that was burning inside a two story apartment building on 6115 E. Mesa Street.

According to Capt. Tony Navarro, firefighters were able to put out the second story blaze in about 10 minutes.

Nobody was injured in the fire, Navarro said, but there was extensive damage to both the building itself and the tenant's property

Crews from from Station 12 in Highland Park along with three other companies and two paramedic crews were on the scene, According to Navarro.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
