New Tag on Front Wall Mystifies Highland Park Resident

The graffiti clean-up team has been slow in responding to the latest tag in front of TV commercials artist Bear LaFond's N. Avenue 54 house.

Bear LaFond's front wall on N. Ave 54, a few blocks south of Franklin High School, gets routinely tagged, but this time around the graffiti clean-up team has been slow in showing up at his house.

"We get a lot of graffiti, especially during the school year, but this is a new one," said LaFond, referring to the tag, which begins with the numerals "5665" and which, he figures, appeared Saturday night or Sunday.

Who knows what it means," said LaFond, who produces art for television commercials and has been living in the same house for the past eight years or so. "There's always some weird code."
