Motorcyclist Dies in 110 Freeway Crash Friday Morning

Preliminary reports indicate motorcyclist was traveling at high rate of speed.

A 26-year-old Los Angeles man was killed early Friday morning after he lost control of his motorcycle and collided with an SUV on the Arroyo Seco Parkway, according to California Highway Patrol officers.

CHP Sgt. Michelle Reddick said that the accident occured at approximately 12:57 a.m. on the 110 southbound, just north of York Blvd. She said that the motorcylcist, whose name has not been released, was pronounced dead by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics at 2:20 a.m.

According to the CHP, the driver of the SUV is currently hospitalized in an unknown location.

Reddick said that the CHP is still attempting to determine the cause of the fatal accident. She said that a preliminary investigation indicates that the motorcyclist was traveling at a high rate of speed.
