Man Shot to Death in Cypress Park

The victim's identity and a description of the shooter have not been released. No arrests. Patch is following.

A man was shot to death near the corner of Idell Street and Avenue 26 in Cypress Park at 8 a.m. Tuesday.

Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Homicide Detective Brian Martin said that an identification of the victim, an adult male, was still pending as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.

No arrests have been made.

Martin said a description of the shooter was not yet ready for release.

"All we can say for now is that there was a homicide and that it is under investigation," Martin said. "We hope to be able to release more information later today."
