The Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Division has noticed a "small hot spot brewing" near Sycamore Grove Park this week, with four crimes reported in the last two days, according to LAPD Officer Curtis Davis of the Crime Analysis Unit.
According to Davis, one assault, one theft, one burglary and one automobile theft were reported in the area this week.
"It's nothing to be alarmed about, but we're trying to inform the community of any clusters we see popping up," Davis said.
No arrests have been made.
In response to the crimes, Davis said LAPD would be deploying extra officers in the area.
"We try to adopt to crime trends as soon as they pop up," Davis said. "They'll be out there today."
