Police cruisers and unmarked cars line Pinecrest Avenue near the border of Hermon and South Pasadena on Thursday morning as approximately one dozen LAPD officers conducting a search warrant of a residence.
One witness who e-mailed Patch said that three women and one man were ordered from the house and handcuffed.
About an hour later, two officers held watch at the top of the house's driveway while two children observed the scene from a nearby rooftop.
At one point, an officer walked to an unmarked sports utility vehicle and retrieved a shotgun.
According to Capt. Steve Sambar of LAPD's Major Crimes Division, nobody was arrested, though several individuals were "detained" by police.
"There's no threat to the community," Sambar said.
He declined to further comment, as the investigation is still ongoing.
