Highland Park Car Thieves Target Hondas, Toyotas

The Los Angeles Police Department is asking Highland Park residents to be aware of a recent spike in automobile thefts.

For the second time in less than a month, the Los Angeles Police Department's Northeast Division has issued an alert about an increase in automobile thefts.

According to crimemapping.com, six vehicles have been reported stolen in Highland Park in since Friday, March 2.

From LAPD Northeast:

Over the past week there has been an increase in GTA(Grand Theft Auto). Most of the vehicles have been taken from the street and parking lots of local businesses. They have occurred in the late night/early morning hours. The vehicles taken continue to be the older Honda and Toyota's.

According to Crime Mapping, vehicles were reported stolen from North Avenue 64, Aldama Street, South Avenue 60, Avenue 55, Avenue 54 and North Avenue 51.

LAPD has asked that residents take the following practical steps to help prevent further thefts:

  • Make sure your vehicle is locked and secured. If parking on the street, try to park near a light or high traffic area.
  • Use something that immobilizes your vehicle such as a steering wheel lock or a cut out switch for the fuel pump. Northeast station is still offering "The Club" steering wheel lock for $12.00. Please contact our Detectives at 323.344.5731 for further information.
  • Please report any suspicious activity such as someone looking into vehicles or trying car doors to see if they are open.

Church members want peace and quiet in their own homes but the freedom to force religion on others.Read More And, they want the freedom to force noise into other people's homes. Anyone from Divine Saviour want some noise forced into their home like some banging metal pans?

Jesse is fine. He is campaining for Cedilllo. Neither have ran away. Both have appreciated myRead More help in campaining for Cedillo. His eyeliner must have faded away. All that matters is that he will do more than "no way, Jose" has done in 12 years with "do nothing, Ed Reyes." My problem is not with bells, it is with the noise (amplified sound) from Divine Saviour Catholic Church. You need to get your facts straight. Noise is a mental issue. Divine Saviour Catholic Church is the one with a mental issue. They are hypocrites that they want to force noise on others then they themselves want peace and quiet. Get the facts.
