Firefighters Quell Blaze at Aldama Street Home

The fire was knocked down within 20 minutes, according to fire officials.

A fire burned today inside a Highland Park home today, but no one was harmed, a city fire official said.

The fire was reported at 6:31 p.m. in the 5700 block of East Aldama Street, Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said.

Rescuers arriving at the location reported heavy smoke showing from the single story home, Humphrey said. W

ith 39 firefighters on the scene, the flames were confined to the structure in 20 minutes, he said.

No injuries were immediately reported.
