3 Stolen Puppies Outside Figueroa Street Animal Hospital Recovered

3 other puppies are still reportedly missing.

Three American bulldog puppies reportedly stolen from the parking lot of a Figueroa Street veterinary hospital last week were recovered Saturday, but three other puppies that were also stolen in the same incident were still missing, according to the KTLA television station.

“I just want to say thank you, thank you, everyone, for your help,” KTLA quoted Ryan Fingerle, the owner of the puppies, as saying. The news report provided no details of how or where the puppies were recovered.

The six-weeks-old puppies were bred to work with the disabled and were estimated to be $1,000 apiece. They were stolen outside the North Figueroa Animal Hospital on 5550 N. Figueroa St. from Fingerle’s car on Monday, Aug. 5, while she rushed inside the hospital to complete some paperwork she had forgotten.

Fingerle, who is hearing-impaired and was raising the puppies to sell to other hearing-impaired people, appealed to the public for help on Friday.

Surveillance video footage showed two men leaving the area with the puppies. The Los Angeles Police Department asks that anyone with information about the puppies or the suspects should call the police at (323) 344-5757. Anonymous tips may be offered to Crime Stoppers at (800) 222-8477.
