20-Year-Old Man Shot Dead on Division Street Monday

Police are asking any witnesses with information to come forward.

Police are investigating the shooting death of a 20-year-old Juan Carlos Alquisira, who was gunned down in front of a Glassell Park residence on Monday evening.

Officers and paramedics went to 3208 Division Street after receiving calls from several witnesses about the shooting 8:20 p.m. on Monday, said LAPD Homicide Detective Ubaldo Zesati.

Alquisiria was transported by paramedics to Los Angeles County/USC Medical Center in Boyle Heights, where he was pronounced dead.

Zesati said officers believe the shooting to be gang-related.

In a Wednesday afternoon interview, Zesati was unable to provide few further details, other than to say police believe Alquisira was accompanied by someone at the shooting who left the scene before authorities arrived.

"We're hoping that person, or any other witnesses, can please come forward," Zesati said.

Zesati said police are seeking a single suspect, who he could only describe as a male.

Police ask that anyone with any further information about this shooting contact LAPD Northeast Homicide Division at 323-344-5744.

Church members want peace and quiet in their own homes but the freedom to force religion on others.Read More And, they want the freedom to force noise into other people's homes. Anyone from Divine Saviour want some noise forced into their home like some banging metal pans?

Jesse is fine. He is campaining for Cedilllo. Neither have ran away. Both have appreciated myRead More help in campaining for Cedillo. His eyeliner must have faded away. All that matters is that he will do more than "no way, Jose" has done in 12 years with "do nothing, Ed Reyes." My problem is not with bells, it is with the noise (amplified sound) from Divine Saviour Catholic Church. You need to get your facts straight. Noise is a mental issue. Divine Saviour Catholic Church is the one with a mental issue. They are hypocrites that they want to force noise on others then they themselves want peace and quiet. Get the facts.
