Tres Aves

The Haggus Society in collaboration with Julie Montenegro/ State Farm are delighted to present Tres Aves.

Bringing together the work of 3 local artists, Bev Baz, Janet Olenik and Nancy Armitage into a visual aria of feminine expression that combines elements of abstraction, assemblage, surrealism and folk art.

Nancy Armitage, an abstract painter describes her process as metamorphic, inspired in part by maps, travels, distant lands, poetry and sometimes even moths.

Bev Baz, a multiple media assemblage artist, states that her boxes and found wood sculptures are just one of the ways to express a surrealistic inner terrain.

Janet Olenik's vibrant and often whimsical work can be seen once in a while hanging at The Folk Tree in Pasadena and at Cactus Gallery in Eagle Rock.
