Academia Avance’s class of 2013 in coordination with The North Figueroa Association, Councilman Reyes' Office, the Old L.A. Certified Farmers Market, and sponsor Red House Realty present The Taste of Highland Park--a festival where local art, food and music collides to illustrate the vibrant diversity of Highland Park.
The event will take place behind Frank's Camera Shop on Marmion Way between Avenues 57 and 58 near the Metro Gold Line Station. It will be held from 3-9 p.m. on March 5 and 12.
“The mission is to expose underground artists that are unknown or not found in stores," said Academia Avance student Richard Tapia.
Artists and visitors from all over Los Angeles will have a chance to create, perform and show their work. A public art wall will be provided where anyone is welcomed to express their artist within. A food truck mall, two stages and local restaurants will also participate, bringing a kaleidoscope of food and music to the party.
