Mt. Washington Elementary School is conducting a Mural Contest. We seek bold, colorful and appealing artwork that will reflect any of the following: nature, healthy living, recycling, school Code of Conduct, school motto, school mascot (Wolves) or global perspectives. Images should be appropriate for elementary level (ages 4-12yrs old). Designs may be completed in paint or mixed media as appropriate. Artwork may include a color field, figures, words, ANYTHING, EVERYTHING. Wow us!
MWES School Beautification Committee will make final selections from all submitted entries. Number of winning designs will be determined after all entries have been received.

Artists must be affiliated with MWES in some way (parent, community member, alumni etc)
All artists 18 yrs of age or older are eligible

Artists must submit samples or images of the proposed mural artwork, along with an application *attached to this AD
Entries must be of the artist's original design & making
If chosen, artist must be willing to complete the work voluntarily with no monetary compensation
Paint will be provided to the artist; other materials may be provided based on availability
DATES: Jan 31, 2013-Entry deadline; Feb 4, 2013-Notification to artists; Feb 15, 2013-Artist meets w/subcommittee; Mar 2, 2013-Mural painting begins; TBD-Completion & grand reveal *dates subject to change
