at deb3321 NICK BROWN LECTURE. Saturday, September 14- 6-7pm (NELAart walk night)


deb3321 is please to present artist Nick Brown as its first guest lecturer.  Brown's art deals with major life themes.  Love, death, doubt and transformation are subjects that have a heavy presence in his work and are approached in intimate, personal and meditative way.

Mr. Brown will present his paintings followed by a brief Q&A session.  Please join us Saturday, September 14 from 6-7pm.  FEE:  $10.00
    

Nick Brown was born in 1973 in Wolverhampton, England.  He received his MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.  Brown has taught at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY and currently teaches in the Department of the Arts, UCLA Extension program in Los Angeles.

Mr. Brown's works has been shown at The Drawing Center, NY, NY; P.S. 122, NY, NY: The Museum of Contemporary Art, Chicago, IL: The Chicago Cultural Center, Chicago, IL; as well as at galleries, both nationally and internationally.  His work will appear in the upcoming New American Painting's Pacific Coast edition, curated by Janet Bishop, Curator of Painting and Sculpture at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art.
