The 2013 Lummis Day Survey—Help us make Lummis Day even better.

Lummis Day belongs to all of us in the Northeast L.A. community.

How can we improve it?

The Lummis Day organizing committee is reaching out to the community for suggestions.  What would you like to see and hear at the 2014 Festival?  How can we make it more enjoyable sand more meaningful to our neighborhoods?

The 8th annual Lummis Day Festival had its largest attendance of any year since our main performance stages were re-located to Heritage Square Museum in 2010. Our attendance clicker at Heritage Square recorded about 3,500 attendees while over at Lummis Home, the number was close to 2,000. The feedback we’ve received from the community has been gratifying.

Each year, the members of the organizing committee spend months in planning the event, selecting performers, poets and artists and tending to the myriad details that go into managing a large event smoothly with minimal financial resources. If you are interested in participating in the Festival's organization, please let us know: the process is open to everybody in the community.

The Lummis Day Festival is presented by the Lummis Day Community Foundation, which celebrates the arts, history and ethnic diversity of Northeast Los Angeles through educational and cultural events. The Foundation’s annual Festival draws the community together for a shared experience while providing a platform for cooperation among people of all ages and backgrounds.

The ninth annual Lummis Day Festival is scheduled for June 1, 2014. We hope to see you there.
