The Burbank Middle School drill team marched through the intersection of York Boulevard and North Figueroa Street on Sunday afternoon as Northeast residents gathered at Veterans Square Memorial watched the festivities.
After years of proceeding through Eagle Rock, the Northeast Veterans Day Parade charted a route through Highland Park on Sunday as horses, cheerleaders, native dancers, veterans, elected officials and more made their way past waving and cheering crowds.
The parade is scheduled to be followed by music, food and games at the Highland Park Senior Citizens Center from 3-5 p.m.
