Frosted Windows Inspire Highland Park Man

A frost warning is in effect for the Southland until 9 p.m. on Sunday.

Temperatures dropped to as low as 29 degrees locally on Friday evening, according to the National Weather Service, meaning a frost warning was in effect for much of Southern California.

Phillips Way resident Steven Smith was one of many Highland Park residents to wake up to frosted car windows on Saturday morning. He decided to make a statement out of the cold weather's icy impact.

"When I came out to my car, parked on the street at 8 a.m., the windows were solidly frosted. I was just going to scrape it off with my seldom-used ice scraper, but then I got inspired," Smith said.
