Last Chance: Vote for the Best Burger in Highland Park

Who makes the best burger?

Last night, Highland Park-Mount Washington Patch put out a call to readers asking what kind of establishment we should next feature in our "Best of" Poll.

Some readers called for us to feature either tacos or burritos. We will (probably next week). For now, though, we want to focus on a type of restaurant that has a little less market saturation in the neighborhood. Burger joints.

We've got four contenders in this week's competition--each of which offer varying degrees of greasy goodness.

This week, we're changing the scoring system to better reflect ratings in the directory. The restaurant with the most votes in the poll will recieve 10 points, second place will recieve 8 and third will recieve 6. Same goes for ratings on their directory listing. Highest rating gets 10 points, second will recieve 8 points and third place get 6 votes.

As always, please only vote and rate once. Poll closes at 10 a.m. on Saturday, March 31.

Why is the York on this list...that place is crappy hipster hole...pass on that, and Troy's should be on the list!!

Hey Manuel, this is competition between all the burger joints in my business directory. And, as much as it annoys me, Troy's is in Eagle Rock's directory. And, regardless of your feelings about hipsters, the York has burgers and them burgers are good.

Hey! Don't hate the hipsters. I've been hip since the 70's. Or maybe I'm Hep.

Patra's should be there. It was picked by Jamie Oliver as part of his "Revolution". http://www.patrasburgers.com/

Hey y'all, I added Mando's--because I forgot, and Troy's and Patro's, because I'm a pushover.

RK March 31, 2012 at 05:06 PM
Well, yeah, but the burger is still delicious! It's a splurge but totally worth it.

Ooh, never been. Sounds interesting!

It's hard to believe that Taco Fiesta (W. Ave 45 and N. Figueroa) was not included. I'm looking forward to trying some of the recommended burgers I've read about in the poll.

I'm just waiting for WW III to break out when he does "best taco".
