Thank You to Bring Comics, Graphic Novels to York Boulevard

A new comic book store comes to Highland Park

Highland Park is getting a new comic book store, the EastsiderLA reports.

The new shop, Thank You, is owned by David Pifer and David Ritchie who previously opened the comic shop Secret Headquarters, in Silver Lake.

Thank You plans to sell comics and graphic novels, in addition to magazines and new and used books, according to the Eastsider.

Pifer is…counting on creating a unique vibe and atmosphere to attract and set Thank You  apart from rivals in much the same way Secret Headquarters stands out from comic book retailers.

Matt Manner, the owner of adjacent , said that Pifer, with whom he shares a mutual friend, approached him after he advertised the property next door to him for lease.

“I wanted to keep it local and have someone that improves the block and doesn’t just squat,” Manner said. “Dave’s awesome, he’s a good standup guy and he lives over here in the neighborhood.”

Manner said he wants to see more businesses like Pifer’s come to York.

“My vision for York is like the east side Abbot Kinney, a cool walkable street, with stuff to do great restaurants to go to,” Manner said.

Church members want peace and quiet in their own homes but the freedom to force religion on others.Read More And, they want the freedom to force noise into other people's homes. Anyone from Divine Saviour want some noise forced into their home like some banging metal pans?

Jesse is fine. He is campaining for Cedilllo. Neither have ran away. Both have appreciated myRead More help in campaining for Cedillo. His eyeliner must have faded away. All that matters is that he will do more than "no way, Jose" has done in 12 years with "do nothing, Ed Reyes." My problem is not with bells, it is with the noise (amplified sound) from Divine Saviour Catholic Church. You need to get your facts straight. Noise is a mental issue. Divine Saviour Catholic Church is the one with a mental issue. They are hypocrites that they want to force noise on others then they themselves want peace and quiet. Get the facts.
