Earthquake Rattles Southwest Riverside Monday Morning

There are currently no reports of damage.

A magnitude 3.9 earthquake struck Southwest Riverside County this morning.

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the temblor struck at 10:37 a.m. and was centered 1 mile west of San Juan Capistrano.

The quake’s size, 3.9m, is preliminary and could be adjusted upward or downward.

There are currently no reports of damage.

It felt weird just a small jolt.

We are on the north end of Lake Elsinore and it sounded like a big boom and the windows rattled and picture on the wall were all crooked.

...and about 6 miles from San Onofre Nuclear Generating Station. That little detail must have been an oversight, right?

Like the fact that both reactors are currently off-line and built to withstand a 7.0 quake.

Live in Jurupa Valley - near Riverside- long enough to get up move to a doorway and then stand there. Not bad, made my grandfather clock chime but everyone else slept through it
