A man was shot in the leg in Highland Park Wednesday and is in stable condition, according to Lt. Teresa Gutierrez, the watch commander on duty at the Los Angeles Police Department Northeast Community Station.
The victim, about 40 years old, was shot in the leg on Avenue 57 and Monte Vista Street at about 7:35 p.m., Gutierrez said, adding that no other details were immediately known and that the incident is under investigation.
