Locally Filmed Marc Maron Comedy to Air in June

Shooting of the 10-episode series wrapped earlier this month.

Local comedian Marc Maron announced on his WTF Podcast Monday morning that Maron, a semi-autobiographical comedy series about his life, would air on IFC in June.

"I wrapped 10 episodes of the half-hour scripted comedy for IFC, the only problem is that you are not going to be able to see them until June," Maron said.

The show depicts Maron's life in Highland Park, where he has lived for the past decade and now records his popular comedy podcast.

The show is run by Silvert Glarum and Michael Jamin and also stars Judd Hirsch as Maron's father.

The show will also feature a host of Maron's comedy peers, who travel to the neighborhood to be interviewed for the podcast.

In October, Maron reported on his podcast that actor Danny Trejo was among show's guests who stirred the most buzz in the neighborhood.

"He might as well have been the king of Highland Park," Maron said.
